  • Richard joined Buccaneer as co-CEO in January 2020. Previously, Richard was Managing Director of International Distribution, Formats and Co-Productions at A+E Networks. Prior to A+E Networks, Richard held senior industry leadership roles with Miramax, where he was Senior Vice President and Head of International, and Fremantle where he was Vice President of Sales for EMEA. Richard also held the role of Vice President of Sales and Distribution at IMG Media.

Jo Evans

  • Prior to joining Buccaneer, Jo was the Production Executive at Tiger Aspect Drama and Fifty Fathoms, working across a number of High End television dramas for different broadcasters, including ‘Domina’, ‘Peaky Blinders’ and ‘The A Word’.

    Prior to this her freelance Production Manager and Line Producer credits include ‘Hatton Garden’ for ITV Studios, ‘Rellik’ (New Pictures) and ‘Dr Foster’ (Drama Republic) for BBC One. 

    Before making the move into production she worked as a literary agent and assistant agent for 10 years. 

Alasdair Spurr

Finance Director

  • Alasdair joined Buccaneer in April 2023 from AMC Networks where he was the Finance Director responsible for Acorn TV’s Original Productions and Acorn’s International Distribution business. While at AMC Networks Alasdair grew Acorn’s UK and US production businesses and worked on over 50 Commissions and Co-Productions.

    Prior to AMC Networks Alasdair was a Finance Director at RLJ Entertainment and Agatha Christie. Before that he had an extensive career at Sony Music including roles in FP&A, Digital Finance and Internal Audit. Alasdair is a Chartered Account who trained and qualified at EY.

  • Since joining Buccaneer in 2017, Anna has been developing a slate of both TV and film projects with companies including Film4, the BBC and Participant.

    Most recently she developed and Executive Produced The Doll Factory for Paramount+, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Elizabeth Macneal, as well as Executive Producing two series of Whitstable Pearl for Acorn.

    Prior to joining Buccaneer, Anna was Creative Executive at Blueprint Pictures where she worked across films including Seven Psychopaths, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and The Riot Club, as well as building the slate and developing a broad range of features.

Muireann Price

Creative Associate

  • Muireann began her career in TV production on shows such as The Inbetweeners, before becoming an independent film producer. She co-wrote and produced her debut feature Love me till Monday, which premiered at the London Film Festival and for which she was nominated for the BFI Best British Newcomer Award. Her second feature Captain Webb was distributed worldwide by Miramax and was nominated for Best Drama at the National Film Awards. Muireann has also worked extensively in casting on films such as Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Goodbye Christopher Robin and The Kid Who Would Be King.

    Prior to Buccaneer, she worked as Head of Development at Double M Films, developing a slate of TV and film projects, as well as producing their feature The Wife And Her House Husband.

  • Neil Duncan joins Buccaneer Scotland from The Lighthouse where he held the role of Head of Development, overseeing the company’s slate of projects including upcoming Netflix feature Scoop. Prior to that Neil held a similar role at BBC Studios Drama London.

    He began his career in continuing drama as a script editor on River City, EastEnders and The Bill before moving on to story produce Fortitude, New Tricks, Strike Back and Ackley Bridge. As a series producer, his credits include Endeavour, Clique and Skins. Neil is also a former head of development for BBC Scotland Drama.

Ebony Inyangete

Development Co-Ordinator

  • Ebony joined Buccaneer in January 2022 after a colourful period of freelancing over the pandemic period. During this time, she worked as a Writers Assistant in the writers room for a Lighthouse project for Sky Studios called Wonderland (in development). Alongside this, Ebony developed her voice as a screenwriter and consulted on Scripts and Novels for NBCUniversal.

    Prior to that, Ebony worked as Development Assistant at Gaumont. This came after choosing to embark on an adventure away from her background in Law. Previously at NBCUniversal, Ebony had spent 3 years assisting on acquisitions and distribution deals as a paralegal after graduating with an LLB in Law from the University of Nottingham.

  • Jaime joined Buccaneer at the start of 2022 as Script Executive, running the script departments on both ‘Whitstable Pearl 2’ and ‘The Burning Girls’.

    Prior to joining us, Jaime started her career at Shed Productions where she storylined, assistant script edited and went on to write several episodes of popular primetime ITV drama ‘Bad Girls’. She then joined talkbackTHAMES as part of the editorial team on the iconic continuing drama series ‘The Bill’ and script edited 50 episodes across its last few years on screen, during which time it won a BAFTA.

    Following maternity leave, Jaime worked in the development team at Kudos before returning to continuing drama on the BBC’s much loved ‘Holby City’, where she remained as Script Producer until its final ever episode.

Amy Fallows

Production Executive

  • Amy has amassed a wealth of interdisciplinary experience over a two-decade career in production and the wider media industry.

    She worked as a Producer for leading entertainment marketing agencies in both London and Los Angeles then more recently as the Operations Director for Intermission Film.

    Amy’s background spans across documentary and commercial production management, global account direction for an international post-production company, right through to line producing for the Sundance Grand Jury Dramatic Feature winner ‘Like Crazy’. She is also a mentor for Young Creators UK.

  • Katie joined Buccaneer in 2013 as Executive Coordinator and later Development Assistant and Script Editor. Katie script edited series 1 of Irvine Welsh’s ‘Crime’ for ITVX and Britbox, and is currently script producing ‘The Crow Girl’ for Paramount+.

    Prior to joining Buccaneer, Katie worked for Company Pictures as a Production Secretary and Coordinator on shows including Skins, George Gently, The Shadow Line, London Irish, Wild at Heart and The White Queen. 

Pavandeep Bansal

Corporate Accountant

  • Pavandeep joined Buccaneer in August 2021. Pavandeep previously worked at the Royal Albert Hall as a Management Accountant and worked on various Hospitality and Merchandise settlements such as Cirque Du Soleil, Teenage Cancer Trust, BBC Proms, Kylie Minogue and Eric Clapton. Pavandeep also worked on Co-Production settlements with promoters such as Raymond Gubbay and English National Ballet on projects like Swan Lake, Cinderella and Space Spectacular.

Tom Woffenden

Executive Assistant

  • Tom joined Buccaneer Media in April 2020. Tom previously worked at Eleventh Hour Films as a producer and director’s assistant, and then an in-house production coordinator on their 8-part series Alex Rider. He has also worked in development for producers Roger Corman & Julie Corman at New World Pictures in Los Angeles.

    Before moving into drama, Tom worked in reality TV where his credits include Gogglebox, Tattoo Fixers and Big Brother. He has also written sketch comedy for the BBC, and in 2019 produced a three week run of Sam Steiner’s play Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons at The Barons Court Theatre.

Meg Stealey

Development & Production Assistant

  • Meg gained valuable production experience as Production Secretary on The Burning Girls. Having worked closely with Buccaneer, Meg has joined us full time as our in-house Development & Production Assistant.

    Prior to this Meg worked on various productions including Sex Education, Doctor Who and Dream Horse as a Casting Agent at Creative Casting. She has also worked as an agent’s assistant at GEMS agency. Before starting a career in TV & Film, Meg worked in marketing and social media for a health and wellbeing brand.

Louise Taylor

Development Researcher

  • Louise spent time working in Drama and then Entertainment at Action Time, BBC and Granada Television culminated in a successful ten year stint within the factual department of Granada London and Manchester.

    Louise produced and directed documentary singles and series for ITV, Channel 5, Discovery and A&E with filming ranging across North America, Asia, Europe and quite a lot of time in Blackpool. She was responsible for programmes within the Real Crime series, the “….from Hell” brand, Trolley Dollies, Mistresses, Household Cavalry and Britain’s Youngest Mums & Dads followed up by Britain’s Oldest Mums & Dads.

    A longer than expected career break for children was to then lead into a five year writing period during which Louise co-authored and edited four successful yearly guide books “Babies & Kids in the City.”
